NEW JERSEY'S INNOVATION ZONES

These “technology neighborhoods” are designed to spur collaborative efforts and encourage the rapid transfer of discoveries from the laboratory to the marketplace. Enhanced financial incentives are available to eligible technology and life sciences businesses locating in these zones. Companies within the zones will benefit from enhanced partnership opportunities through the state, coordinated by the CST.

The three Innovation Zones are Newark, Camden and North/New Brunswick.  (Refer to Regulations as set forth in N.J.S.A. 19:31-12.2 for exact boundaries of the respective Innovation Zones within a community.)  Innovation Zones are designed to stimulate collaboration between the State’s universities and the business community to increase the state’s competitive position by attracting and retaining technology based business and world class scientists to assist existing technology business to grow in New Jersey.
